They also [at the moment] speak in patterns, 3's. Part of this is scripting - bits from other people's conversations or books or heaven knows where.
Then, about 4 years ago I bought a tiny digital voice recorder.
It was supposed to help them hear how LOUD they were - campaign failure.
Now I turn it on often - sometimes so I can decipher later, especially when they're on a roll!
Cheers MaddyMaddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05828186178060722812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37025305.post-13116346938422537032007-09-16T23:42:00.000-07:002007-09-16T23:42:00.000-07:00i've always wondered, mcewen, how do you REMEMBER ...i've always wondered, mcewen, how do you REMEMBER all those gems long enough to blog about them?isabella morihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01150933640442379951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37025305.post-71075619695167164902007-09-16T19:19:00.000-07:002007-09-16T19:19:00.000-07:00Very smart young lady you have there. My son will repeat a phrase hundreds of times each time getting louder if someone doesn't repeat it back to him....so you got a sweet looking cat at the humane society? :)hope4jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15855923330897339776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37025305.post-50410889727985152062007-09-16T13:42:00.000-07:002007-09-16T13:42:00.000-07:00Fortunately -or rather, thankfully - in the car, M...Fortunately -or rather, thankfully - in the car, Maya is usually fairly quiet. She may make a comment now and again or perhaps launch into singing one of her repertoire of little songs. Today, she & I went to Walmart to get a new coffee maker, some wipes and fruit too for her little brother. From the time I put her in the cart until I got her out of it to get back into the van and leave, she rattled on and on, about wanting to see the Bratz, the Barbies, the Moms and the Dads and the kids and the peoples and the this, that or another thing that may have caught her eye. And, if she senses you are not traveling in the direction of whatever it is she has said she wants to see at a given time, the voice rises in pitch and in volume and can easily and rapidly escalate into a full-fledged screaming meltdown. Thankfully today she kept the meltdown phase out of our visit though. Just makes shopping that much more of an adventure though, doesn't it?Jenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16425701332785470116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37025305.post-31745574504173664132007-09-16T08:55:00.000-07:002007-09-16T08:55:00.000-07:00Not only are they hilarious, I think they are budd...Not only are they hilarious, I think they are budding poets.
