Though, there's one problem with that. As things stand now, my boys will not be able to get loans through the federal government, because they get SSI. My financial advisors have already warned me about that.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14991258877647816722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37025305.post-65919174881240528492006-12-29T18:36:00.000-08:002006-12-29T18:36:00.000-08:0050 cents for clearing the table? We had all the kitchen cabinets labeled with masking tape with a set amount so I knew how much I could make if I cleaned it. Washing and waxing the kitchen floor was always five bucks though! Getting Sandis to participate in chores is excruciatingly hard. Having a reward system is pretty fruitless (especially where money is concerned) because although he likes money and understands that you can buy stuff with it, the gratification is not quick enough. Also, staying focused from beginning to end of the chore is daunting as well. (Are you kidding? We have enough trouble getting dressed in the morning!) I give Sandis 1 dollar per week which for the most part he ignores, and he does one chore per day (complete with timer, visual cues, and constant reminders by me). My daughter on the other hand, I imagine when she gets older she might do the same sort of thing. I ask her to clean up and she just gets up and does it. Totally different from my son!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02841767505240383644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37025305.post-68909559066826644902006-12-28T23:35:00.000-08:002006-12-28T23:35:00.000-08:00How to keep track of what's owed and not----Charli...How to keep track of what's owed and not----Charlie does chores as requested but, having no concept of money (and why, since we have a way of pulling out the debit card at our numerous grocery store trips---that way, I am less aware of how much I spend on feeding him), he asks for nothing in return. (Except, of course, for the food items I've bought.) Kitchen table = my desk.kristinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01104388229716638534noreply@blogger.com
